STFUAI Podcasts Terms of Service
- Don't be a dick
- Don't be any other kind of genitals, either.
Terms of Use, the version the app stores require
Effective 11 September 2026. Apple will not review a subscription without a real one of these, and honestly, neither should you trust an app that has not written one down. Rules 1 and 2 above still cover about 99% of it.
These terms are between you and Tim Woodruff, who operates STFUAI Podcasts. By using the app you accept them. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. Questions go to support@stfuai.com.
1. What the app does
STFUAI Podcasts is a podcast player that skips parts of an episode you did not ask for: advertising, self-promotion, intros and outros, and closing credits. It downloads an episode from its publisher's public feed like any other podcast app, and when you request an analysis it sends that episode to our servers, which produce a transcript and mark the segments to skip. The skipping happens on your device during playback. We do not modify, re-host or redistribute the audio file, and the publisher still receives a normal download.
2. Your account
An account is required, because your library, queue and playback positions live with the account rather than with one phone. You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials to yourself. An account is for one person. You can delete it from Settings at any time, and what that removes is set out in the Privacy Policy.
3. Subscriptions
- Analysis runs on our servers and costs us money per episode, so each account has a weekly allowance. Paid tiers raise it. Playing, downloading, queueing and syncing work without any subscription and without analyzing anything.
- Subscriptions are sold and billed by Apple's App Store or by Google Play, whichever store you bought from, in that store's own currency at the price shown in the app.
- They renew automatically for the same period until you cancel. To avoid renewal, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Cancel in your store's subscription settings: Settings then your name then Subscriptions on iPhone, or the Subscriptions page in Google Play on Android. We cannot cancel a store subscription for you.
- Deleting the app, or deleting your account, does not cancel a subscription. Only the store can end it.
- Refunds are the store's decision under the store's own policy, not ours.
- Prices and tier contents can change. A price change never applies to a subscription you already hold without your agreement, and if we materially reduce what a paid tier delivers we will say so in the app's release notes.
4. Acceptable use
Do not attack, overload, reverse engineer or attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service. Do not resell it, or run it on someone else's behalf as a service of your own. Do not use scripts or automation to consume analysis allowances. Do not use the app to break the law, or to strip advertising from audio you have no right to listen to in the first place.
5. Podcasts are other people's work
The shows in the app belong to their publishers. We do not own, host, endorse or review them, and we do not vouch for anything they contain. They arrive through public RSS feeds, and a publisher can change or remove a feed at any time, which is outside our control. If you are a publisher with a concern about how the app handles your feed, write to support@stfuai.com.
6. Detection is automated, and imperfect
Segments are found by software, not by a person listening. It misses things, and it occasionally marks something it should not have. Accuracy varies with language, audio quality and how a show is produced. You can re-analyze an episode, turn any category of skipping off, or seek by hand. We do not promise that every advertisement in every episode will be found.
7. Availability
We may add, change or withdraw features, and the service can be unavailable while we work on it or when something upstream fails. We aim to keep it running and we do not promise that it always will be.
8. Ending it
You can stop using the app at any time and delete your account from Settings. We can suspend or close an account that breaks section 4, or where we are required to. If we close a paid account for a reason that is not your fault, we will refund the unused part of the period we can reach; store-billed refunds are still the store's to issue.
9. No warranty, and the limit of what we owe you
The app is provided as it is. To the extent the law allows, we make no warranty that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or fit for a particular purpose. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim connected to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, and if you are a consumer, your statutory rights are unaffected.
10. If you got the app from Apple's App Store
These terms are between you and us. Apple is not a party to them. Apple has no obligation to provide any maintenance or support for the app, and any such obligation is ours alone. If the app fails to conform to any warranty that cannot be disclaimed, you may tell Apple and Apple will refund the purchase price; beyond that, Apple has no other warranty obligation for the app, and any other claim, loss, liability, damage, cost or expense attributable to a failure to conform to a warranty is ours to handle. We, not Apple, are responsible for addressing any claim you or a third party makes about the app, including a product liability claim, a claim that it fails to conform to a legal or regulatory requirement, a claim under consumer protection or similar law, and a claim that it infringes someone's intellectual property. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this section and may enforce it against you. You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a United States Government embargo or designated as a terrorist supporting country, and that you are not on any United States Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
11. Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version appears here with a new effective date at the top. Continuing to use the app after that date means you accept the new version.
